Sailing Lessons

Adult Introduction to Sailing

For ages 15 and up. Minimum of 3 students per session is required. Maximum of 12 students per session.

Classes

Eight, three-hour classes are given Monday and Thursday evenings over four weeks. Classes may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and strong or no wind.

Member		$125.00	Non-member		$150.00

Course Objectives

• Learn basic parts of a sailboat
• Learn basic knots
• How to rig and de-rig a sailboat
• Launching and docking
• Sail upwind and downwind
• Turn a boat (tack and jibe)
• Practice crew overboard recovery

Additional sessions may be added if there is sufficient demand.
