Contributions

The SBCSA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Like most other charitable organizations, our success depends upon the ongoing support and generosity of its members, volunteers, and contributors. The SBCSA can offer affordable lessons and sailing opportunities only through of the generosity of its members and supporters. Please consider contributing to or joining the SBCSA to help provide sailing access for others.

All or a portion of your donation may qualify as a deduction on your federal income taxes. In addition, donations to the SBCSA’s endowment fund with the Bay Area Community Foundation may qualify for a partial income tax credit on your Michigan tax return. Contact a tax advisor for details.

Cash Contributions to SBCSA
Contributions of cash may be sent directly to the SBCSA.

Contributions to the Bay Area Community Foundation
Contributions of cash may be sent to the Bay Area Community Foundation, 703 Washington Ave, Bay City, MI 48708, to increase our endowment fund. Send a check payable to the Bay Area Community Foundation with a note indicating that your contribution is for the SBCSA designated fund.

Donations of Boats, Equipment, and Materials
With the prior approval by the SBCSA Board of Directors, the association will accept boats, equipment, or materials. The association may choose to use the donated item or to sell it and apply the funds to other needs. If your donation has been accepted by the Board of Directors, please download this form and include both copies with your donation. One copy will be returned to you as a receipt for your donation.
